I traveled back down south from Coyhaique to the Chacabuco Valley, passing along the way the stunning Rio Baker (proposed site for one of the five massive hydroelectric dams to be constructed in Chilean Patagonia). In the Chacabuco Valley I explored a park that is being developed by the American non-profit Conservacion Patagonica. In complete solitude I had the opportunity to see Condors, Puma tracks, Foxes, and abundant herds of Guanaco (the wild ancestor of the Llama).
