We have finally completed the Southern California section of the Pacific Crest Trail. After forty days in the desert, we have now begun to climb into the Sierras. We're resting for the day in the tiny town of Kennedy Meadows, which is our last point to resupply food before heading up into the big mountains. In a few days we'll be climbing Mt. Whitney, the biggest mountain in the continental U.S., and then we'll begin the legendary John Muir Trail (where it overlaps the PCT).
I will not be posting on my blog for at least three weeks, as there is no wifi or cell phone service in the Sierras.
